Cross over Lucet

Lucet: Cross over flat braid

white left fork

blue right fork

Turn fork

Cross the yarns

white left top

blue right top

turn fork

treat both sides as two different lucets that you are working at the same time.

white over blue on the right fork

blue over white on the left fork

( for those paying attention, in this picture the yarn is coming out of the hole the other way. I think I started again and at the first move I went turning through the middle instead of the outside. Try what works best for you)

This is what you want to end up with.

the blue working yarn goes around the left fork above the white.

the white working yarn goes around the right fork.

Bring both yarns to the front.

Turn the fork.

Hook over at both sides.

It's the same idea what happened in the second picture. You cross over.

And this is what it looks like.

The big difference is that it is a flat braid instead of a square cord.
